Bellingham Ranked 3rd Secure City Nationally

Bellingham Washington - Bellingham is the third most secure place to live among mid-size cities in America, according to the Seventh Annual Farmers Insurance Co. yearly study. The only national cities ranking ahead of Bellingham, WA were Olympia, WA., at number two and Sioux Falls, S.D., held the top spot in this this years most secure cities in America.This is the fifth consecutive year that Bellingham has placed among the top 20; the city ranked fourth in 2009. The ranking covers 127 metropolitan areas with populations between 150,000 and 500,000.
Information about crime statistics, extreme weather, risk of natural disaster, housing depreciation, air quality, environmental hazards, terrorist threats, life expectancy and job loss were all factors.
